In this article we’re going to look briefly at some of the errors you might make when reviewing suitable pushchairs. Avoid the following and you should be confident of your purchase.

First off don’t take safety for granted. Rules and regulations on baby products are tight as you would hope but that doesn’t mean all double pushchairs are equal. Pay attention to the specifications of each model and make sure they meet industry standards.

So far, so sensible. Next up don’t take your double pushchair out of context. That’s to say don’t just pick the one you like the look of and ignore the practical aspects of your life. Double pushchairs are bigger than their single cousins so make sure the weight and dimensions measure up to your environment.

While we’re at this point remember that the pushchair isn’t just for the kids, it’s for your needs to so don’t ignore them. What else can the double buggy help you with? Do you need plenty of storage space on the buggy for your shopping?

Finally don’t assume that you can get all the same perks as you would with a single pushchair. The all in one travel systems, that are pretty much industry standard for single pushchairs, have not yet dominated the double buggy market. If that’s what you need then your choice maybe a little more limited.

Another wonderful stroller is the Baby Jogger City Elite. This is a fancier version with more seat padding, included parent console and adjustable handlebar and larger air filled tires. It’s not nearly as lightweight, but for a high end stroller that you can go jogging with or push over heavier terrain, it’s really not that heavy. It sort of crosses between classes in my opinion. The larger wheels make it slightly larger, but they are removable. The bigger wheels and additional seat padding make it weigh in at about 25 pounds. Assuming you’re able to lift your little one into their car seat, you’ll be able to lift this into your trunk without any trouble.

There are so many lightweight baby stroller options to choose from that this barely scratches the surface, but Baby Jogger is my current favorite. The first thing that you are going to have to think about is what type of wheels you want your jogger to have.  Some joggers have stationary front wheels that cannot pivot or move while other stroller has a front wheel that can move or can be locked.  Another thing that you need to think about when looking at double joggers is the sun visor or canopy.  Keeping your children protected from the sun is of the utmost importance.  If you children are twins or are very close in age, then having a double jogger with one universal sun canopy might be a fine idea.  If you have two children that have a greater age difference then you should consider purchasing a jogging stroller that has two separate sunshades.  This way if your infant is inclined to fall asleep from the constant movement of the stroller you can have the option to recline and shade one child and not the other.

Joggers do not typically come with a tray or cup holders in the front as your traditional stroller does.  If your children are at the age where they enjoy having a cup or snack while in the stroller you should try to purchase a stroller that has the capability to add a portable cup holder or that has a little pocket next to each child on the seat.

Lastly, the tires are something you should look into.  Jogging stroller tires have air in them like you car tires or bike tires.  Make sure you have good tires and inquire whether replacements are readily available.  Once you use your jogger, you will not want to walk with anything else. Over the years baby strollers have made amazing leaps in advancements. I remember the time when, if you had twins, you had to buy 2 small strollers? Do you remember those little fold up strollers made out of metal poles with rubber handles and cloth? Those strollers were pretty easy to travel with weren’t they? It seems that today strollers are so big and elaborate that they baby has no excuse to cry because they have just about everything they want at the tip of their fingers. Underneath you can store the diaper bag or your purse or whatever you want because there is so much room down there you will never have to worry about having to carry something over your shoulder. They also have cup holders by the handles so that you can take your water with you when you go for walks.

I am not saying that these new aged strollers are bad; I am just saying that sometimes they come with so many little compartments that you could get lost when trying to store things. I appreciate the fact that they have places to put the diaper bag and such, because I wouldn’t want to carry it over my shoulder if I didn’t have to. You know what I mean?

The best thing about these new aged strollers is that they fold up pretty easily to help your travel load seem a little less. If you travel, you have to take your stroller so it is amazing that they have strollers and even double strollers that fold us so well.

So when you are heading out to purchase your first stroller, make sure that it will fit in your vehicle and not take up too much room or you will be returning it later on and that can be a hassle that you just don’t want to deal with.

For walkers, you have to consider the type of toys attached, the size of the overall unit, and the weight capacity before purchasing. Walkers are essential for small children just learning to take those first precious steps.

While baby walkers have always come with simple toys meant to amuse a baby, the toys they come with today can go far beyond simple squeakers or rolling pieces. You can now purchase activities that really stimulate the mind and teach educational principles. Some of the more popular products come with musical enhancements that teach babies to enjoy music.

Basic walkers without the enhanced amusements are still on the market, and are priced extremely low compared to the more elaborate products. What you choose ultimately depends on how much time you think your child will actually spend in the walker and how much money you can put out on this product.

When it comes to double strollers, all the same options apply plus a few others. You have to consider the arrangement of the seats and what will best suit the ages of your children. For example, a family expecting twins may require two seats that are easily removed and popped into vehicle bases while a family with an older child and infant may prefer the back seat to be raised up stadium-style.

Also consider how often you will use the storage basket and how large it needs to be. Some are now made with extra room while others may be easier to access from behind.

You may be surprise at the wide variety of styles for strollers and baby walkers today. Different models will come in different colors and patterns. There are also special features that give stylish appeal, such as different sizes of canopies.
