Do you think you might be pregnant? There are so many things that are going on inside of your body right now if you are in the early part of your pregnancy. Your body is used to menstruating each month and now something is telling it not to. If you have just missed your period and have come to the realization that you are pregnant it is normal to feel a little cramping, similar to what you would feel when you are expecting your period. Many women get nervous if the feel cramping. The automatically think the worst and worry about a miscarriage. More times than not that isn’t the case. About seven days after you ovulate if you are pregnant you will feel cramping. This is not a sign that there is anything wrong. This is something that is called implantation or implantation cramping. You might even spot, which is referred to as implantation bleeding. This happens when the fertilized egg attaches itself to the lining of your uterus. Some women feel cramping while others will not feel anything at all. You have to realize that there is a great deal of change going on inside of you. Your muscles are stretching and your organs are eventually going to be shifted to make room for your growing uterus.
Round ligament pain is another form of cramping that many women experience early in their pregnancy. This type of pain usually happens low in your abdomen. What is happening is your body is responding to your growing uterus and preparing itself to make more room. This is totally normal and is nothing to really worry about. Remember if there is excessive pain then it is absolutely necessary that you see your physician.
